If You Can't Beat 'Em, JOIN 'EM!!!

Well everyone looked like they were having an awesome time blogging away and I was reading everyone else's and thought................wait a second........all these adults including my parents (which includes a dad that texts less than a word a minute, NO JOKE!) have blogs, and I being the stereotypical young, hip, up-to-date teenager, have yet to create one. The natural order and balance of things has been thrown off! It's like a sign of the apocolypse! I mean, it seems like just yesterday most adults were fed-up with the difficulty of computers and amazed at the birth of 'instant messaging'. Where has the time gone?! Look at you all, blogging away, adding pictures and slideshows and playlists. You all grow up so fast :'] I'm so proud of you, lol. That's probably the only chance I'll be able to say that. So I don't know what to say really but I guess I'll tell you alls what's going on with me and mi familia--is that how you're supposed to spell mi?

Right now I'm kicking back having a great time in Utah with Aunt Carrie, Uncle Alan, and the cousins. I came up on June 14th by plane and all alone :/ it may have been more fun to go with a family member or sibling, but I was definitely enjoying the absolute peace and quiet and my own three seats while listening to an iPod. Shortly after I arrived, I got the priviledge to party at Lagoon for the rest of the day with the Valentine's, Robert, and his girlfriend Jenna. The Monday after I got here, I went to a summer program called EFY (epecially for youth) for a whole week with my fellow Arizonite, Courtney Whidden. Wow! Talk about an amazing, sleepless time! We spent everynight watching movies on the mini-dvd player I magically fit with all the other necessary junk (that's an oxymoron! Look mommy, I'm learning :]) I brought along. I mean, you would NOT believe all the crap you can stuff in a suitcase, backpack, and purse! I brought my hairdryer, staightener, and curler, not to mention my iHome to recharge my iPod, my own linens and towel for my dorm room, plus the three church outfits required, multiple shirts and jeans, a pair of heels, swimsuit, and pajammies. I'd like to thank Afton and McKenzie for all their help, because zipping closed my bag would have been impossible without their body weight. Back to the EFY experience though--it was just great. I met tons of people including some pretty good-lookin' guys and lots of new texting buddies....sorry dad, it was inevitable. I did a thing called the Music Program while I was there were we'd go and practice church songs during our free-time to perform them on the Thursday that week. I got a solo :] and sang a duet with a very smiley guy named Will. I also tracked down a guy who brought his guitar and used it to try out for the Talent Show they were having singing and playing a song I wrote. I got in! And, needless to say, after I played it I was pretty popular hahaha. It was nice. Those are the highlights so far, and now I'm back with the Valentines where Carrie is eager to show me the best time I can have while I'm here, and I'm excited to see what else could be better than renting Indian Jones movies and watching them after the cousins fall asleep. And jumping on the trampoline and playing with Shadow and watching Daniel do front flips in the grass onto his back. Yes, it's been a very fun vacation 'away from it all.'
The only thing that could possibly make it better would be the priviledge to use my cellphone every once and awhile to see how my friends and family are doing. And I'm so excited to see the Maxwell's next week!!!!! Josh and I (that used to say me and Josh, but I thought about how Grandpa always chews me out for saying it wrong) have been trying to formulate plans together to get me down there a day or two earler than planned, hopefully my parents let me :] that would be very very nice--imagine me saying that with an Italian accent for effect. Yeah, I think that's it, I'll add pictures and promise my future blogs will be much shorter for all of you dying of boredom. Thanks for reading! ~~~Carpe Diem!!!!~~~

Okay, first of all, what are your parents blog addresses, and second of all, you ROCK!!! What a fun summer you are having. I'm sure you are missing "someone", but don't worry, you will see that person again soon. Once this person is done with this person's community service. :) Sorry, I just thought that was a great story. I am so excited you have a blog and I can't wait to see what new adventures you have next. Luv Ya, TC
